MODEL 1862 REGULATION PATTERN HOLSTER

Model 1862 design holster that was changed to a more general shape wich would fit both The Colt and Remington revolvers thus making its issue more universal. Is stamped (only partially visible, but correct!) on the upper flap; "J. DAVY & Co./NEWARK/N.J./. J.Davy was a military contractor during the Civil War. The holster also has two initials "W.V" stamped upside down on the belt loop (owners initials?). Complete including the plug in the base. This is a Civil War holster in excellent condition, a perfect match for a Colt 1851 Navy or 1860 Army, also for the Remington Model 1861 or New Model 1863 revolver of that era. We don't see too many in this condition!
