ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL MODEL 1876 CARTRIDGE BOX
U.S. Model 1876 R.I.A. Mc. Keever Second Type, Caliber 45-70 Indian War Cartridge Box. Has a capacity of 20 cartridges in two rows of 10 rounds each. Standard Second Pattern including brass escutcheon on closing tab and top corner staples. With embossed "US" on the front of the box. The box is stamped with two sets of inspector marks insde; D.A.M. and W.(?).F. Made by Rock Island Arsenal and as such, stamped on the closing tab. Shows very little use. Good honest early box. Excellent.
