WOODEN SCULPTURE

Original signed and dated 86, hand carved sculpture of a Sioux Medicine Man by the by listed artist and renowned wood carver Willard Morin. Measures 80 x 12 x 13cm. Excellent condition. Willard Morin was born on September 7, 1929, on the Sioux Indian Reservation at Rosebud, South Dakota. He spent his young life on the reservation getting his education , and it was there that he discovered his talent for making beautiful carvings. He tried carving on bark –and there found his fame. His carvings have been sold all over the world. He has never been able to meet the demand. His work has been enjoyed and treasured by all who own them.
