#3857. Cal. 41 Short Rim Fire. Single shot. 4" Barrel. Model No. 3, also called "Saw Handle Deringer". Blue finish. 80% of the original finish remains. 3 numbers of serial number 857 present under barrel, full #3857 on the frame under the grips. Mechanically perfect and has a shiny bore with a few small spots. Walnut grips in excxellent condition. Quantity estimated around 14.000. Manufactured from 1864 untill the late 1870's when the production ended. This pistol was probably made in the "early" 1870's. Very fine condition. Cartridges shown for information purposes only.
