#637. Cal.30 RIm Fire. Rare Model 2E. Standard 3" Barrel. Four shot with rotating firing pin. Has only traces of the original blue finish remaining. Mechanically perfect. Four very fine bores with excellent rifling. Some light oxidation present. Brass frame and wooden grips in excellent condition. Only around 1000 of these very rare Model 2E pistols were manufactured with a 30 caliber barrel on a 22 caliber frame. Made between 1859 and 1874. The first Model 2 to be produced was not the Model 2A but Model 2E (with the small .22 frame size)! All markings are present and serial numbers match. A good looking rare Sharps pistol.
